The OBSID welcomes two new members of staff
The Observatory improvement District is excited to welcome two members of staff, who joined the team on the 1st of July 2019.
Rayno Joubert has been appointed as Area Manager. His portfolio includes the coordination and delivery of the cleaning and urban management programmes as well as supporting projects in the public spaces. He’ll also be lending his expertise to the public safety programme as this programme continues to grow.
Rayno was previously employed for 9 years at the Wynberg Improvement District, firstly as Contracts Manager (cleaning, urban management and public safety) with Orbis / Securitas, then later as Operations Manager for the CID itself.
Prior to his CID experience Rayno was a member of the SAPS for over 15 years.
Edith Mennas joins as Office Coordinator. She’ll be supporting the management and operations, communications and social development programmes as well as providing overall administrative support to Amanda Kirk and the team.
Edith brings a wealth of administration and coordination expertise to the role, having worked in various state hospitals in administrative officer roles before leaving to pursue her interests in community development in the non-profit sector. Edith has previously worked for TB HIV Care as well as the Society for Family Health in a variety of programme support roles.
We extend a friendly Observatory welcome to both Rayno and Edith!
